​History
The Association of Former Liberian Law Enforcement Officers (AFLLEO) is an organization which enhances the relationships between former officers who served in various security agencies in Liberia, West Africa. The organization also serves the communities where the members live and support the families of its member.

The organization is a forum that connects with and renders assistance to its members in times of sickness, death and/or life changing events. Through fundraising, the AFLLEO promotes charitable, social, educational and public relief in Liberia and in the communities where its members reside. The AFLLEO's initiatives are supported by its members and friends creating awareness in the global Liberian Diaspora.

Membership Benefits & Privileges

1. All active members shall enjoy the full benefits of the organization.

2. Member ship benefits and privileges shall include: the right and privilege to vote and the right to contest for positions.

3. Enjoy bereavement assistance as may be defined by the Executive Committee in collaboration with the board of directors.

Death In The Family
The association shall address the issue of bereavement and respond appropriately on a case by case basis.
Procedure of Death Notification
Death notification shall be by way of phone call, email or letter to the president or any member of the Executive Committee.

Immediate Family
  • Immediate family said in this context shall mean spouse and children of active members.
  • In the event of trouble, an immediate family member (spouse and children of an active member) should expect the association shall contact them by sympathy card, flowers or as the Committee and the Board of Directors may deem necessary.

Family Members
  • The family of an active member prior to their time of death.They shall receive a donation of $300.00 (three hundred United State dollars) when bereaved.
  • Money for such donation shall come from a $20.00 (twenty United State dollars) by each member.
  • Each member is encouraged to attend funeral services and sympathize with the family of their fallen colleague through cards, phone calls, or email and flowers. 
     Membership

1. Membership shall be opened to all Former Liberian Law Enforcement Officers.

2. The law enforcement agencies that form this association are:

  • The Liberian National Police (L N P) 
  • The National Security Agency (N S A)
  • The Special Security Service. (S S S)
  • The National Bureau of Investigation (N B I)
  • Immigration    ​


Membership Eligibility
  • To be eligible for membership one mush have served as an employee (officer) in any one of the agencies listed above. 
  • Each member must obtain and fill out a membership application form and pay a registration fee of $25. 00 (Twenty-Five United State dollars).
Membership Requirements
Each member of the association shall be required to pay an annual due of $100.00 (one hundred United State dollars) and attend monthly meetings, participate in discussions, serve on committees and purchase a copy of the constitution.

Annual Dues
All members of this association shall be required to pay an annual due of $100.00 (one hundred United State dollars). This amount may be split into four (4) quarterly payments.

Associate Members
  • Members who are not active or current with their due payment shall be considered associate members. 
  • ​​Associates are not Former Liberian Law Enforcement Officers. They do not attend regular meetings. They could include sponsors or well wishers.
